Market Hall boasts two interconnected rooms: the intimate Park View and the grand Market View. Seamlessly linked, they offer flexible configurations for events of all sizes.
Park View: Up to 180 seated, 220 cocktail-style
Market View: Up to 400 seated, 450 cocktail-style
Together, these spaces create a stunning backdrop for ceremonies, receptions, and everything in between.
Charming Outdoor Spaces
Our Blake Street patio, a covered haven running the length of our historic building, welcomes up to 80 guests to enjoy fresh air, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. Overlook City Market’s charming cobblestone streets, illuminated by overhead market lights leading to Moore Square Park.
Street Closure Option: Elevate your experience by extending the patio onto Blake Street itself. For an additional fee, close the street to create a truly unique venue on the cobblestones. Set up bars, food stations, and more for an unforgettable event that captures the essence of downtown Raleigh.

Two Luxurious Private Suites
Our Park View and Market View Suites offer 1,000 square feet of versatile space each. Featuring private bathrooms, lounge and dining areas, these suites boast floor-to-ceiling windows framed by historic brick and exposed beams.

What safety protocols does Market Hall have in place?
The well-being of our guests and staff is paramount. We maintain the highest safety standards, adhering to and often exceeding CDC and NCDHHS guidelines. While we currently host events without capacity limits, our commitment is to provide you with a safe and joyous celebration.
Is a wedding coordinator required for my event?
To ensure your day unfolds flawlessly, we require all wedding clients to engage a professional day-of coordinator from our curated vendor list. This expert will:
- Orchestrate your rehearsal, ceremony, and reception
- Craft a detailed timeline
- Finalize your floor plan (no later than 14 days before your wedding)
Our Preferred Vendor List offers a selection of exceptional planners for your consideration.
What are the requirements for vendors at Market Hall?
We partner with only the finest event professionals. All vendors working at or delivering to Market Hall must be licensed and insured. While we welcome outside vendors, they must submit their business credentials for our review. Please note that our culinary experiences are exclusively provided by our in-house team, and all alcoholic beverages must be procured through Market Hall.
How accessible is Market Hall?
Our venue offers seamless accessibility:
- Street-level entry with convenient loading zones on Parham and Wolfe Streets
- Fully accessible main level, including spacious restrooms
- VIP Suites accessible via stairs
We kindly remind guests to use the paved crosswalks and exercise caution on our charming cobblestone streets.
Can you tell me about Moore Square?
We are located directly across from the newly renovated Moore Square! This four-acre park features a restaurant, gorgeous live oak trees, pristine landscaping, interactive water feature, tree house and large central lawns for outdoor events. See Moore Square Rental Guide for information on reserving the square for an outdoor event. Photographers must have a city permit to access the park for photography. Please submit the permit application found here before your event.
What is the payment structure for booking Market Hall?
To secure your date, we require a non-refundable reservation fee equal to the venue rental fee, along with a signed contract. The remaining balance is divided into three payments, with the final installment due 14 days before your event. All payments are non-refundable.
Is it possible to close the street for our event?
Absolutely! The cobblestone streets of City Market can be reserved for your exclusive use through a City of Raleigh permit. For $1,800, this package includes:
- Official permits for street closure
- Removal of parked vehicles
- 200 white garden chairs (including setup and breakdown)
- Dedicated staff and security officer
